Printed Circuit Photos

Mar 2017

Please bear in mind the current PCB revision is v3.1. This is due to errors found in the early builds (mostly to do with hole sizes). Once the v3.1 boards have arrived and been tested, I will upload those photos here.

So here it is, PCB v1.0 that I have built up. It worked first time with no modification, so I was pretty pleased. The main issue with this PCB was that I used hole sizes that were a little too small on the 40way header, so it was a tight squeeze. I also didn't via all the holes (only the ones connected in the schematic) and for better soldering, I should have done them all.

Both of these issues are now fixed on the v3.1. Why the jump from v1.0 to 3.1? Well there are a few subtle changes, some tracks have been re-routed for tidiness, some resistors moved a little and the outline has been changed to have round corners (no idea if the PCB manufacturer will cut them like this though).

Keep an eye on this page for the v3.1 photos, hopefully by the end of April 2017, depending on shipping (can be 4-6 weeks to come from Hong Kong to the UK).
