To replace CentOS v7 (which is going end of life) and to avoid using CentOS Stream, we will start to use Alma Linux from v8 (currently 8.5 and 8.6 are being used). Below is the lifespan of Alma Linux v8.

Please bear in mind that we only use Alma Linux from the command line, no graphical user interface, so everythign here will be command line driven.
